Youth Ministry Conference – Iron On Iron

March 6-8, 2025

What is Iron on Iron?

Iron on Iron is a weekend event for youth pastors and youth ministry teams designed to refuel and refresh you and your team so you’ll finish strong. Youth leaders burn out quickly when they aren’t invested in — invest in them and yourself.

As the name implies, Iron on Iron connects you with other youth ministries, leaders, and pastors. This conference is a great way to connect with, learn from, pray for, and challenge one another toward a more Gospel-driven ministry than ever before.

This three-day conference includes biblical teaching, practical training, and Gospel-driven worship. Iron on Iron is designed to equip you to become a more effective youth ministry leader.

Why You Should Attend this Conference

As a youth minister, you’re in the trenches of a rewarding but challenging ministry — pursuing Gospel conversations with students, planning youth events, juggling church issues, and equipping parents. It can promote feelings of loneliness and isolation. Christ designed us for fellowship. As leaders, it is even more important that we lean on, encourage, and support one another. This student ministry conference brings together hundreds of youth ministry pastors and leaders for just that purpose.

The simple truth is that we love the local church, and we love youth ministry teams. The Church is God’s plan to fulfill the Great Commission. We want to do everything we can to support the daily discipleship work you’re doing.

Why Investing in Yourself is Essential

Your ability to make disciples flows from your walk with Jesus. You’ve got to get away from the hustle of everyday life and invest intentional time abiding with your Savior. Your leadership skills and extroverted personality will not carry your students’ faith. They need to watch you rest in Jesus, grow in your faith, and focus on the essential truths of Scripture in your daily life.

Can I Bring My Volunteer Leaders?

Yes! Iron on Iron is designed to equip and encourage anyone serving in student ministry — from youth pastors, to interns and volunteers. If you’re looking for a short weekend to invest in your youth ministry team, then Iron on Iron might be the perfect option for you.

“Wonderful as always. It’s always great to get away, hear solid teaching, and take a break from always teaching and just be a listener of God’s Word.”

Andrew Spires

“It was a great chance to check out SWO for the first time and assess it for use in our student ministry. Also, the teaching was seriously top-notch. My brain and heart are full of what I learned and I am already implementing it.”

What types of housing do you provide for our youth pastor and ministry team?

We have over 14 cabins on our campus, divided by bedrooms for each group. They each provide twin-sized bunk beds, air conditioning, and heat. The bathhouse is a short walk across the property.
