- Take I-75 North to I-575 North
- Follow I-575 North through Jasper. In Jasper 575 will turn into Hwy 515
- Stay on Hwy 515 through Ellijay and Blue Ridge
- Turn left on Hwy 60, after the town of Blue Ridge
- Go approximately 2 miles to the first stop sign, and turn right onto Spur 60
- Drive approximately 10 miles to the dead end, and turn right onto Hwy 74
- Go approximately 20 miles (through Murphy and Marble), to the town of Andrews (about 8 stoplights)
- Turn right onto Hwy Business 19, through town of Andrews
- Go all the way through the town of Andrews (about 4 stoplights) past the First Baptist Church
- The road will fork about .25 mile past First Baptist Church, stay right when the road forks.
- Take 1st immediate right after road fork, onto Pisgah Road
- Drive approx. 1.5 miles to McClelland Creek Road, turn left
- Snowbird is 100 yards on the left
- From Asheville take I-40 West to exit #27
- Take exit #27 onto Hwy 74 towards Waynesville, Bryson City
- Stay on Hwy 74 past Waynesville, Cherokee, Bryson City
- When you pass Bryson City, the road will go down to two lanes and go through the Nantahala Gorge
- Stay on Hwy 74 West through the Nantahala Gorge, until it opens back up into a four lane
- Take the second left onto Hwy Business 19
- Go approximately .5 mile to the first paved road on the left
- Turn left onto Pisgah Road (if you pass the 1st Baptist Church, you’ve gone too far)
- Drive approximately 1.5 miles on Pisgah Road, then turn left onto McClelland Creek Road
- Snowbird is 100 yards up the road, on the left
- Take I-24 East to I-75 North
- Exit #20 towards the Ocoee River
- Stay on Hwy. 64-74
- Follow signs that take you by the Ocoee River
- Go approximately 60 miles (through Ducktown, Murphy and Marble), to the town of Andrews
- Turn right onto Hwy Business 19, through town of Andrews
- Go all the way through the town of Andrews (about 4 stoplights) past the First Baptist Church
- The road will fork about .25 mile past First Baptist Church, stay right
- Take 1st immediate right after road fork, onto Pisgah Road
- Drive approx. 1.5 miles to McClelland Creek Road, turn left
- Snowbird is 100 yards on the left
- From Knoxville take I-40 EAST to Exit #27.
- Take Exit 27, Hwy 74 West.
- Go approximately 70 miles. The last 20 miles of this stretch will be a two lane road through the Nantahala Gorge.
- When the two lane road turns back into a 4 lane, take the second left.
- Go approximately 1 mile to the first paved road on the left.
- Turn left on Pisgah Rd. (If you pass First Baptist of Andrews, you have gone too far.)
- Go 1.5 miles on Pisgah and turn left on McClelland Rd. Camp is 100 yards on the left.
- Online and GPS directions will direct through Robbinsville on 129. That highway is called the “DRAGON’S TAIL” and is extremely curvy and takes longer than expected, especially when driving a bus. Please call if you have any questions, but we highly recommend no one taking this route to Snowbird from Knoxville!
