For the Christian, the Bible teaches that we have been declared righteous before God. We have been justified in His presence because the perfect righteousness of Jesus has been accredited to our account. But what does this mean for us on a daily basis? Does this mean that there is nothing left for us to do as Christ followers? Yes and no.
Since there was nothing that we could do on our own to deserve salvation, there is nothing left for us to do to keep our salvation. But, since we have been made new by the blood of Jesus, we are now called to strive to live lives worthy of the Gospel. Whether you choose to ski or to focus on our on-campus activities, please join us as we challenge students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
- 2-night & 3-night winter options are available.
Planning a winter or ski retreat can be overwhelming. Planning food, lodging, and a worship band leave little room to build relationships. We drop the logistical hassle by partnering with student pastors to reach their goals. Whether you choose to ski or enjoy our ropes course on-campus, your students will build relationships that point to Christ. We will plan everything for you, so you can enjoy the weekend.
Our staff are passionate about leading fantastic recreation experiences and Gospel-driven discipleship. Small group leaders will partner with your church on a 1:4 staff to student ratio, ensuring plenty of time to process the teaching they sit under.
Winter SWO Conferences
Winter SWO conferences include teaching, worship, meals, lodging, recreation, and small groups. For students groups who are not skiing, we have a top-notch ropes course available, with cable swings, zip-line, and four-sided climbing tower. Snowbird also houses a paintball course, archery tag, and gun range. You can learn more and view photos on the Snowbird recreation page.
Ski Retreats (optional addition)
We typically ski during afternoon and evening at Cataloochee Ski Area. Ski retreats include accommodations, worship and teaching sessions, on-campus recreation, lift ticket and ski rentals. In the past, several churches have preferred one night of skiing combined with one full afternoon of on-campus recreation.
