Christian School Retreat | Zach Mabry

What is the Gospel? Sometimes we use Christian language without knowing what it means. Even in Christian environments, we need to be reminded of the Gospel. During this session with a Christian school, Zach walked through 1 Corinthians 15 to study how Paul explained the Gospel. He preached the very message he received.

When Jesus saves you, He starts making you more like Him. This is a finished work that is still happening in your life.

So what do we need to do right now?

Hold fast to the Gospel. It needs to define your life—everyday. We need to be reminded of it so we don’t grow complacent toward this life-transforming reality. Jesus takes our sin from us, pays the penalty for it, and gives us His righteousness. This shouldn’t happen, it’s an unbelievable act of grace.

The good news is so good because the bad news is so bad. There is no other hope for your salvation. It would be easy to coast through a Christian environment, say the right things, and not actually live out the Gospel. Fight to pursue the Lord in your life daily.
