Be Strong: Wisdom & Understanding from Ecclesiastes
Brody Holloway : Be Strong : Ecclesiastes 12 : September 16, 2018
There are four things the preacher in Ecclesiastes wants us to take away from the study of the book: an understanding of pleasure, pain, perspective, and preparation.
1.Pleasure: God’s Word is meant to bring us delight, wisdom, and joy. As men, we need wisdom to lead, wisdom to work, and wisdom to serve. When we get this right, we will find joy and pleasure.
2.Pain: This is a reality and death will be the final pain we will endure. The Word of God helps us understand that death is not final for us, neither is pain.
3.Perspective: Fear God. Love the Lord with my heart, soul, mind, and strength and love others.
4.Preparation: One of the hardest things to understand sometimes is the injustice of life. We need to understand that God is going to make all things right and new one day. I need to understand that I will give an account to God for everything I say, think, and do.
