WFR Recap

To begin the semester students were immersed in wilderness medicine. They spent 9 days taking their Wilderness First Responder. These days were packed with valuable information and sprinkled with scenarios to put into practice what they were learning in the classroom. They participated in small one  on one scenarios as well as larger group scenarios that helped them to practice all the new skills they had learned in the classroom.

Wilderness First Responders are trained to respond to emergency situations in remote locations. Students learned how to give care when conditions are less than ideal and supplies may be limited.
