OLDS – From the Battens!
Yes, all good things must come to an end (so they say.) It’s hard to believe that Fall Semester 2016 has already come and gone. This was mine and Curtis’ first year working with OLD School, and we have felt blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of people. From times we spent with our fellow leadership staff, to our proctors and interns, all the way down to each student—we will cherish these memories for life. It has been amazing to be a part of the journey for these 15 students as they came seeking to know Christ more and to enjoy the outdoors while doing it. We couldn’t be more thankful that God allowed us to take part.
I want to take a moment to reiterate some wise words that Spencer Davis and Josh Martin shared at our end of semester banquet. To those students who have completed an OLD School semester and for all those who are to come, remember:
“These memories you have made are stories you will tell for the rest of your life but don’t forget to share the stories of how God changed and grew you more into His image. The spiritual disciplines you learned and practiced are far more valuable than any rock you climbed, trail you hiked, or cave you explored this semester.”
