Proctor Spotlight – Erin
Last week we introduced you to Glendon, one of our proctors for the OLD School Fall 2016 semester. Again,The role of a proctor is to build intentional relationships with students in the field — for practically the entire semester. They will be leading the different sections of OLD School and pouring Gospel-driven discipleship into our students. Our proctors have been hard at work preparing for the arrival of students – and now they’re so excited that this semester is off and running.
Before students arrived, we talked with each of our proctors to see how they have been preparing for the Fall semester.
Main sections Erin will be leading:
Rock Climbing, Caving/Primitive Skills, Sea Kayaking
Erin graduated from Florida Southern College in May of 2015 and headed to Snowbird to serve for her third Summer on staff. She then spent a year as a member of the SWO Institute program as one of the OLD School Interns. During that year, the Lord grew a desire in her heart to proctor. God opened the door for Erin to come on board and now she is stoked to serve and care for this semester’s OLD School students.
Erin finds joy in whitewater rafting and caving when it comes to outdoor recreation. She also loves time spent indoors listening to music and spending time with friends. She says that’s a little more her speed.
Erin is most excited about the discipleship aspect of the OLD School semester. She has a passion for college students and she feels that God has been preparing her heart for a long time for this role. She couldn’t wait to get started building relationships with the students and to help them be encouraged in their walks with the Lord.
When ask to describe her “DREAM SANDWICH” she created her masterpiece:
Brownies on the outside and classic vanilla ice cream in the middle.
