SMO Missions Camp – Weeks 1 & 2

We’ve had our first two weeks of SMO16 Missions! It was a blast spending time with the churches that came and served with us: Gracepoint, Sugar Hill and St. James United Methodist. This week marked the 10th year anniversary of Gracepoint coming to camp!

We renovated several buildings at Renewed Hope, a local ministry that Snowbird has partnered with. Renewed Hope is a year-long discipleship program for men battling addiction. This ministry runs off of donations and the income of two thrift stores.

We are expanding the living quarters of the ministry to accommodate the program’s growing needs and enable more students to be impacted by the Gospel-centered discipleship. In the store area, we restored the deck and ramp and repaired a fence in the storage area. We also painted and stained the porches in the dormitory area and removed walls in the dorms.

The Lord did a great work in the lives of the students who came to serve. Christ brought some students to new life, and others grew stronger in their faith. Pray for SMO as we work hard to serve the Lord and minister to students for the next eight weeks of camp!
