SWO Says Farewell to the Potters

One of the high-low experiences of ministry is the coming and going of faithful ministry partners. It is always tough to see someone leave after they have served faithfully for a period of time. We grow together and literally come to see one another as family. Eric and Amanda Potter came to us in 2007 out of obedience to God’s call on their lives. At the time, their oldest daughter was only six years old, and was their only child. Since then, they have been blessed with another daughter and a son. It has been so fun watching this family grow and seeing the impact God has used them to make on many lives. They are hard workers who live like true servants.IMG_2817

Last fall they shared the direction the Lord was taking them and that sooner rather than later they would be moving toward a career path in international business. Eric and Amanda are passionate about the spread of the Gospel, and God has uniquely gifted them in some areas that will no doubt provide open doors in the future. This family has served tirelessly and selflessly for almost a decade and many lives are fuller because of it. I am forever grateful for their time here.

Amanda will continue to work as bookkeeper for SWO from a distance as Eric begins a new career that will offer him opportunity to use the gifts God has given him, and the education he has spent the past several years working to complete. We are thrilled for them, but will miss them greatly.

You can keep up with the Potters through social media, and I am sure they would love to hear encouragement in this transition. They had huge roles in the day-to-day operations here, but I know God has led them faithfully. Pray as we plan out the replacements for the numerous areas of responsibility that Eric had. These guys are leaving huge shoes to fill. But God will be faithful on both ends, and we look forward to big things from and for the Potters.
