Sharing the gospel is at the heart of everything we do here at Snowbird. We take the command that Christ has given us to bring the gospel to the nations very seriously. This summer, we sent out two SWO staffers to further the gospel and the work of Christ. Both of these people will be in areas where security is high, so information that can be shared is limited. However, it is our hope that you would join with us in prayer and they prepare to leave and be immersed in a new culture.
We first said goodbye to a woman has served here for many years in a full time capacity. The Lord has given her a passion for teaching and it is in this role that she will be going overseas. She will be serving in an international school for an indefinite amount of time. In addition to teaching, she will also be building relationships with the locals in an effort to share the love of Christ with them. She will be the leaving the states in just over two weeks. Pray for her in these last two weeks of preparation and then as she transitions into this new stage of life and adjusts to new a culture.
The second person headed overseas has spent this last year serving here as an intern. She recently began training with the IMB and will be headed to Central Asia this fall. While she will be there as a student taking language classes, her primary focus will be building relationships with those in the area and assisting a family who is in the area serving in a full time role. Pray for her as she undergoes 8 weeks of training and for a smooth transition into a new country. While saying goodbye is always difficult, it has been exciting getting to send each of these two women this summer. We are confident that the Lord will be faithful to both of them. Pray for their safety and boldness as they proclaim the gospel to those who are lost.
