Mark is Translated for Garia People!

Remember Jesus Christ… for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!
(2 Timothy 2:8-9)

We just got word the Gospel of Mark is finish being translated for the Garia people group! Because of the obedient, sacrificial giving of SWO students and churches in 2012, people of the Assamese Musilmani language in Northeast India have the redemptive story of Christ to read. They are still going strong translating more scripture as long as funds are available to support the work. Mark is the shortest Gospel, and the author starts right out of the gate showing how busy Jesus is. Things happen when Christ speaks. Things happen when the Word of Christ is read.In chapter one, Jesus is traveling and healing people in nearly every paragraph. Mark 1:11 records the voice of God the Father declaring, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” Go read the Gospel of Mark this week, give yourself a glimpse into glorious truth the Garia people now have access to. Imagine you are hearing the story of Christ for the first time, and pray for the unreached in Northern India. The Word of God is not bound!
