Youth Worker Weekend:
This is your opportunity to get your youthworkers together and spend time with other adults who share the same passion to see students grow in Christ.
APRIL 2008 Youth worker Retreat
Thursday, April 10th to Saturday, April 12th 2008
The cost is only $50 and includes lodging, food and recreation. Our hope is to give you a chance to get encouraged, challenged and refocused.
At Snowbird we have the opportunity to work with and get to know hundreds of churches from all over the nation. Because of these relationships, we have been able to notice two dangers churches seem to be falling into. First, we see a lot of students at Snowbird who come here with a great amount of zeal, but no real solid grounding in Scripture. Second, we see Christians who have a really good understanding of Biblical Doctrine, but they do not live with passion for Christ.
We know from Scripture that it is not good to have zeal without knowledge. At the same time, it is not profitable to have knowledge without zeal. If we are leaning towards either extreme, we are failing to live a balanced life in Christ. For this reason we are going to focus this year’s Youth Worker Retreat on the importance of Christian Doctrine and its application to this generation.
