Since our inception over a decade ago we have been dependent on the church to help sustain us. Because of our commitment to excellence in recreation and ministry, especially our commitment to a low staff to student ratio, our operating costs are substantially higher than what we charge. The fact of the matter is that camper fees pay for camper costs and we’re left trying to cover our overhead in other ways. We firmly believe that God has called us to this unique ministry and we know that He will provide. If you would like to be used by God to help support the ministry He is doing at SWO here are a few ways that you can help.

Pray
First off, please pray for us. Pray that God will continue to bring students here to be challenged by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray that God will guide the leadership into how He wants us to run both the ministry and the business aspects of SWO. Pray for our staff, those who are here full-time and for the summer staff. Pray that God will lead us in how we prepare to teach His Word, lead others in worship, write skits and dramas, and build relationships with the students and leaders that set foot on the property.

Give
Every year God blows us away with the generosity of His people. Without the monetary gifts of people committed to what God is doing at SWO we would not be able to survive year after year. We are so thankful for those who are willing to be used by God in supplying the financial needs we have here at SWO. Since we are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit institution, anytime someone gives to us we are able to send a tax-deductible receipt. If you would like to give specifically to a certain project, please indicate that on your donation.

Serve
If you are the type that would rather give in a way that you can see immediate and tangible results and are gifted in the ability to work then we would love for you to come to SWO as part of an adult work team. Since we began, work teams have come to work alongside us on specific projects; in fact over half of our cabins have been built by believers who have graciously donated supplies and manpower. We are so thankful for those who allow God to use them in this immensely practical way.
