Faithful
We are preparing for week two of SWO10 and i am excited to see what God has in store for the students that will be coming in. It is our smallest week of the summer and i can’t help but think that the reason is because God has HUGE things in store for these kids. Last week was one big reminder that we are always in over our heads and apart from the Hand of God we have no strength, hope, or effectiveness. I am so thankful for the way He moves. I think it is important to be reminded that He is always faithful, because He is always faithful to HIS works, plans, and to the Gospel. How encouraging to know that even when we fail, or are even unfaithful, He remains faithful.
2 Timothy 2:13 says that “even if we are faithless, He remains faithful–for He cannot deny Himself.” What an encouragement to know that God remains faithful, even in our selfishness, arrogance, or simply inability to do what we need to do in a given situation.
How often we assume that we are the ones running our lives and that everything depends on us. While we are expected to be obedient and to pursue holiness, the work of salvation is held up by Christ’s faithfulness to His own glory!

A young man named “Gaither” told me about this site. He is one of the kids in the video on this website. I’m in Rowlett Tx, so he sure is a long way away from home. Pray for God to guide him in all things and protect him. Amen
